SUMMARY:WashoeDEMS Central Committee Special Election Meeting
DESCRIPTION:A Special Meeting of the WashoeDems Central Committee will be held on Wednesday\, April 22\, 2026\, at 6 PM for the purpose of holding an election to fill mid-term vacancies in the WasheDEMS Executive Board. \nNo other business shall be conducted at this meeting. This shall be a hybrid meeting\, held online via ZOOM and IN PERSON at our headquarters located at 1465 Terminal Way\, Suite 1\, Reno\, NV\, 89502. \nCheck-in 5:30\nMeeting: 6:00 pm \nAll members and guests must complete the registration form to attend (in person or online):\nMember Registration Form \nMembers attending via Zoom must also complete Zoom registration:\nZoom Registration  \nNotice of Election\nDue to the recent resignations of our Chair and Secretary\, we will be holding an election for these Executive Board positions at a special central committee meeting on Wednesday\, April 22\, 2026. As our First Vice Chair is running unopposed for Chair\, for purposes of this election the office of First Vice Chair shall be considered open and an election for First Vice Chair shall be conducted at the same time as the elections for Chair and Secretary. \nThe election rules\, candidates and candidate statements can be found at the WashoeDEMS Central Committee page \n\nElection Overview\n\nThe election will be held at the Washoe County Central Committee\nmeeting on Wednesday\, April 22\, 2026.\nEach candidate must be a registered Democrat residing in Washoe County.\nOnly current members of the WCCC in good standing may vote in the election and votes shall be taken by non-secret ballot in accordance with the bylaws.\nCompleted candidate nomination forms and statements of intent shall be posted on the DPWC website by Monday\, April 13\, 2026.\nAll e-mail communications to the WCCC member list from candidates shall be sent by the DPWC. Email communications shall be limited to ONE (1) message per candidate.\n\n\n\nWCCC members who are unable to attend \nPlease notify us via the registration form. This will be considered written notification to our Secretary and your absence will be excused. \n“Day Of” Meeting Information\nOnline Attendees: Please sign in between 5:00-5:30pm. We strongly encourage you to log on at least 30 minutes before the start time to avoid any sign-in issues.\n\nIn Person Attendees: The office will open at 5:00 pm for sign-in. \nThe Central Committee meeting will be begin promptly at 6:00 pm.
