Nevada Primary – Election Day

June 9 @ 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Nevada’s 2026 Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 9th.
List of Washoe County Primary Early Vote and Election Day Vote Centers

Voting Centers are open 7am to 7pm for all locations. If you are in line by 7pm YOU CAN VOTE.
You may also drop off your completed mail ballot at any Vote Center on Election Day.

The link above has a downloadable pdf for your convenience.

Mail Ballots are hitting mailboxes all over Washoe County! If you have not yet received your sample ballot by mail, you can always download it from the Secretary of State’s website using their Registered Voter Services page where voters can “verify their voter registration information, update their mail ballot preference, view their voting history, find a polling location, see who their elected representatives are, and view their sample ballot.”

Tracking your Ballot
BallotTrax is no longer being used for ballot tracking.
Use MyBallot.NV.Gov to track the status of your ballot, whether mail or in person. If you login now, depending on your county of residence, you should receive a message about the delivery of your mail ballot, whether or not it has been delivered, or when you can expect it by. You may also update how you receive notifications about the status of your ballot (email, text, or both).

If you were previously signed up for BallotTrax, you may have already received a text or an email from the Secretary of State’s office notifying you that you have been automatically moved to the new notification system, Ballot Scout. If you did not receive this notification and want to be sure you can receive ballot status updates, please use the link above to register.

In Person Voting has changed too!
Early Vote begins May 23rd, so you have some time to get up-to-speed on the new process, but in a nutshell:

  1. The voting machines look and act exactly the same as always.
  2. The difference: When you cast your ballot, rather than reviewing your ballot on that little roll of paper on the side, you must confirm all your choices on the screen.
  3. Once you have confirmed all your choices you will cast your ballot by printing a PHYSICAL paper ballot that you MUST deposit in the ballot scanner before leaving the vote center.
  4. This second part is the most important. If you do not deposit your ballot in the scanner and you walk out of the vote center with your ballot, your vote will not be counted. There are NO do-overs.
  5. Don’t sweat this too much, there will be poll workers at the exit doors to make sure you scan your ballot!
