SUMMARY:Nevada Primary - Early Vote - May 23 thru Jun 5
DESCRIPTION:IN PERSON EARLY VOTING BEGINS SATURDAY\, MAY 23RD and continues through FRIDAY\, JUNE 5TH. Election Day is Tuesday\, June 9th. \nYou may also drop off your completed mail ballot at any vote center during Early Vote and on Election Day. \nList of Washoe County Primary Early Vote and Election Day Vote Centers \nHours are 10am – 6pm for all locations but Vote Center days of operation may vary. The link above has a downloadable pdf for your convenience. \nMail Ballots are hitting mailboxes all over Washoe County! If you have not yet received your sample ballot by mail\, you can always download it from the Secretary of State’s website using their Registered Voter Services page where voters can “verify their voter registration information\, update their mail ballot preference\, view their voting history\, find a polling location\, see who their elected representatives are\, and view their sample ballot.”\n\nTracking your Ballot\nBallotTrax is no longer being used for ballot tracking.\nUse MyBallot.NV.Gov to track the status of your ballot\, whether mail or in person. If you login now\, depending on your county of residence\, you should receive a message about the delivery of your mail ballot\, whether or not it has been delivered\, or when you can expect it by. You may also update how you receive notifications about the status of your ballot (email\, text\, or both). \nIf you were previously signed up for BallotTrax\, you may have already received a text or an email from the Secretary of State’s office notifying you that you have been automatically moved to the new notification system\, Ballot Scout. If you did not receive this notification and want to be sure you can receive ballot status updates\, please use the link above to register. \nIn Person Voting has changed too!\nEarly Vote begins May 23rd\, so you have some time to get up-to-speed on the new process\, but in a nutshell: \n\nThe voting machines look and act exactly the same as always.\nThe difference: When you cast your ballot\, rather than reviewing your ballot on that little roll of paper on the side\, you must confirm all your choices on the screen.\nOnce you have confirmed all your choices you will cast your ballot by printing a PHYSICAL paper ballot that you MUST deposit in the ballot scanner before leaving the vote center.  \nThis second part is the most important. If you do not deposit your ballot in the scanner and you walk out of the vote center with your ballot\, your vote will not be counted. There are NO do-overs.\nDon’t sweat this too much\, there will be poll workers at the exit doors to make sure you scan your ballot!\n\nFinally\, check out all the options for Accessible Voting that Washoe County offers at this link \n\nADA Curbside Voting\nAccessible Voting Booths\nRight to Assistance\nMail Ballots\nNV EASE (Nevada’s Effective System for Elections) – Nevada’s Effective Absentee System for Elections (EASE) is an online application designed to support covered voters. EASE is available to active-duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces\, their spouses and dependents\, Nevada voters living overseas\, Nevada residents with disabilities\, and tribal voters living on a colony or reservation in Nevada. EASE is available no later than 46 days before Election Day and can be accessed at NVEASE.gov.\n\n
